A Brief Introduction to the Kunju Opera
The Kunju Opera has a history of over 700 years. The Kunju Opera enjoys a wonderful collection of colorful programs whose conversations are gallant and elegant. Tones sweet and agreeable, acting fine and elegant with the compant of dancing and singing as well as the unsurpassed Chinese Kungfu. Since the foundation of new China, our Party and Government have adequate attention to the development of the Kunju Opera, and the artistic value of the Kunju Ppera has been widely recognized by the academe and the artistic community, a lot of Kunju Opera troupes, such as Zhejiang Kunju Opera Troupe, Jiangsu Provincial Kuvju Opera Troupe, the North Kunju Opera Troupe, Shanghai Kunju Opera Troupe, Hunan Provencial Kunju Opera Troupe ( the so-called six big Kunju Opera troupes in existence ), have been established. In 1985, the Notice about Proecting and Revitalizing the Kunju Opera was issued by the Ministry of Culture. In 1986, the Ministry of Culture established the Guiding Committee of Vitalizing the Kunju Opera and the China Kunju Opera Art Study & Research Society. In 1987, the Ministry of Culture re-issued the Notice about Notice about Protecting and Revitalizing the Kunju Opera. In recent years, many Kunju Opera troupes went out to give performances in Europe, Japan, America, Hong Kong, Marco, and Taiwan, and have attracted extensive attention and compliments. On June 8 , the Ministry of Culture organized a panegyric on protecting and revitalizing the art of Kunju Opera in Beijing, and issued a Notice about Printong and Distributing the Minutes of the Meeting of Protecting and Revitalizing the Kunju Opera, and decided that the Kunju Opera should be and art that needs to be given significant protection. |
